New at Hadassim - Emergency Centre for Children at Risk
Children up to age 18 who have suffered severe trauma at home are
brought to this new centre, sometimes in the middle of the night.
They arrive at the centre pursuant to a court order to be protected
from their parents.
For a period of 3-6 months, these children at risk are kept separate
from the rest of the school. During that time, under the care of a
multi-disciplinary professional team, the children are counselled,
calmed and evaluated. This team determines if a child can return
to a capable parent or if the child will be integrated within the community
at Hadassim and placed within a Foster Family Unit.
This Emergency Centre at Hadassim was built out of necessity for
severely traumatized children.
The children depend on your support.
Hadassim Children and Youth Village
Founded in 1947 to serve immigrant youth as well as children from dysfunctional
and/or disadvantaged homes.
Children aged 5-13 live with foster families and teens aged 14-19 live in dorms
while attending school.

students from surrounding communities.
Nahalal provides boarding for more than 200 students which include Israelis,
Ethiopians, Russians and other new immigrants.
The school’s philosophy of tolerance and pluralism allow Muslim and Druze to
learn side by side with Israelis.

vocational careers.
